The Bone Peddlers: Selling Evolution, by William Fix, New York: Macmillan, William Fix is neither an evolutionist nor a creationist. Instead, his book The Bone Peddlers promoted a theory of his own called "psychogenesis", about which I now remember no more than the name.

Bone Peddlers. William Fix is trained as a behavioral scientist. He apparently is a strong believer in the paranormal. Yet, he wrote a book back in entitled The Bone Peddlers: Selling Evolution.

In that book, Fix picks apart the evidence for human evolution. He does not, however, turn his attention to God. More on that in a moment.

A great opening line ("In the crypt of the abbey church at Hallowdene, the monks were boiling their bishop"), but sadly The Bone-Pedlar falters after that. This has all the problems of wobbly pacing and flat characterisation that you'd expect from a first novel, compounded by Hamilton's decision to remove all ambiguity about the presence of the supernatural/5.
